Hi,
I'm making a port of TinyOS on Zigduino (check google project page if you want to know more) and, despite I've been able to run several test apps (even the radio works) I have few questions:
- The missing RTC forces me to use the external 16Mhz oscillator or internal RC Oscillator. In both case I have a power issue: I cannot switch the cpu in power down mode or power save mode otherwise it would stop timers, isn't it? We had a discussion on TinyOS-help mailing list, and it seems that there are no turnaround to that issue.
- If I force the CPU in power down mode, the power consumption of the zigduino is still 4.8mA. Probably 1mA is drawn by the power led (is there any way to switch it off? from schematics it seems I have to unsolder it) but I don't understand what draws the remaining 3.8mA, is it the FTDI? Is there a way to reach the 250uA power consumption?
Regards,
Ugo
