Inspired by Dangerous Prototypes' example, we've decided to create an online parts list. The parts on actual products may not exactly match these, due to variations in supply and the like.

- We use 1% 100R, 1K, and 10K for almost everything. We use other values mostly for setting up voltage dividers for sensing.

MOSFETs
Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistors (MOSFETs) are the cornerstone of modern power electronics. They switch quickly and are very efficient when used correctly. All of the ones we use are enhancement mode devices. They come in two polarities, N-channel (roughly equivalent to an NPN) and P-channel (roughly equivalent to a PNP).

Transistors
We don't use bipolar transistors for very much around here, so the ones we use are typically very special purpose, such as phototransistors. They are also useful for building quick and dirty constant current sources, such as you'd use for driving a thermistor or platinum RTD.
